1. The service

Octorium is a desktop app that remembers, in order, what you did inside a folder you hand it, plus a monthly subscription that provides new recording and AI descriptions to that app.

Downloading and installing the app requires no subscription. Only making new records and AI descriptions do.

2. Accounts

Accounts are created with Google sign-in. The company stores only your sign-in email, your Google account identifier, and your subscription state. Which folders you hand the app is never recorded against your account.

3. Subscription and fees

The subscription is ₩7,300 per month or ₩73,000 per year (VAT included) in Korea, and US$5 per month or US$50 per year plus any local taxes elsewhere. The annual price is ten months for twelve.

The first 30 days are a free trial. It starts when you sign in to the Octorium app and press start, once per account. No payment method is registered during it and nothing is charged. When it ends the app cannot be used until a subscription is started; a payment method is registered then, and the first charge happens then.

A subscription renews automatically on the same day of each period with the registered payment method. Purchases in Korea are processed by Toss Payments. At renewal, your registered cards are tried in the priority order you set; if every one is declined, the app cannot be used until a charge succeeds, and nothing further is charged meanwhile. The moment a charge succeeds, the app is usable again.

Purchases outside Korea are processed by Creem as merchant of record; changing a card and cancelling happen on Creem’s customer page.

Card numbers are entered directly on the payment processor’s pages and forms; the company’s servers never see or store them.

4. What remains when a subscription ends

Records already made are yours, and they stay on your computer unchanged; the company never deletes or moves them. Without a subscription the app cannot be used — recording, comparing and restoring included — and when a subscription starts again, everything kept opens exactly as it was.

5. Your files

Your files never leave your computer. When an AI description is made, what travels to the server is summarised facts only — slide titles, sheet names, paragraph counts.

The image-viewing feature is the one feature that sends a picture itself, and it is off by default. Turning it on is your explicit choice.

6. Changes to the service

The company may improve or change the service, and will announce changes that disadvantage paid features before they take effect. Even if the service is discontinued, viewing and restoring records you already made keeps working inside the app — the records live on your computer.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the company is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in this section limits liability that consumer protection law does not allow to be limited.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are heard by the courts with jurisdiction under its civil procedure law.
